Course Info & Rating

USGA RULES SHALL GOVERN ALL PLAY EXCEPT AS MODIFIED BY THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES:

  • Ball coming  to rest in any flower bed, drop to nearest point of relief no nearer the hole. No penalty.
  • Out of bounds within the confines of the course will be played on hole #3 left of white stakes, #9 left of white stakes and #16 left of roadway and between the two white stakes on the tee shot only.
  • 7th Hole - RED TEE ONLY. After hitting 2 balls into the water, the player may drop a ball within the designated drop zone left of the gree, and hit their 6th shot (an extra stroke is incurred to carry the ball over).  This is a water hazard and not a lateral water hazard.  As such, if the ball hits land on the other side and rolls into the water, you may not drop the ball greenside.  You must re-hit from tee side of the water.
  • Please keep motorized carts 15 yards from the greens and tees.
  • Please repair ball marks and replace divots.

CONDITIONS
Our outstanding Tripoli golf course superintendent Terry Conway has enhanced Bendelow’s design by improving drainage, installing double-row fairway watering and reshaping 54 white sand bunkers.  Reconstruction and alignment of several tees has enhanced the course for years to come.  The scores of strategically placed trees dotting the course require the attention of a full-time arborist.

PACE OF PLAY
Pace of play is always a topic at any golf course. It has nothing to do with the group behind you and everything to do with keeping pace with the group ahead of you.  Follow these 3 simple rules and all will go well with your pace of play:

1. No more than two hours per nine holes of play or four hours for 18 holes of play.  Please be aware of your time on the course.

2. Should you come to a tee box and notice that the group ahead of you has already put the flagstick in the hole, then you are falling behind, and should close the gap.

3. On weekend and holiday golf, foursomes that play golf before 8:00 AM are expected to play in no more than a 3 hour and 45 minute pace.  This sets the tone for the entire day.

If one group takes longer than they should, it will affect the pace for all groups.  To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable round of golf, groups that are behind pace may be approached by the golf shop staff.
